From Dyslexia to Distinction — A Journey in Color
School never came easy. Raised by two educators, expectations were high—but reading and writing felt like battles I couldn’t win. Labeled lazy and unmotivated, the truth finally surfaced: I was dyslexic. While traditional academics left me behind, one class lit a spark—Art. It wasn’t just a subject; it was a language I could speak fluently.
I pursued a path my academic family could understand—college—but I did it my way: loading up on art classes and seeing the world through a different lens. That lens later became my greatest asset in a highly successful career in finance. Creativity wasn’t a side skill—it was my strategy.
Inspired by Monet’s softness, Van Gogh’s emotion, and the structure of Pointillism, I discovered the power of building something whole from tiny parts. That fascination led me to Chuck Close and the hyper-realism of pixelated portraits. I realized that even paint samples could tell intricate stories when used creatively.
Today, I blend impressionism with precision, emotion with geometry—crafting large-scale, pixelated portraits using paint chips instead of brushstrokes. Each piece is a celebration of seeing differently, of turning perceived limitations into unmatched originality.
This is art redefined—where struggle meets vision, and pixels tell the story.
